Chlopak Leonard Schechter has rebranded as CLS Strategies to reflect its growth beyond its core strategic communications heritage.

clsBob Chlopak, founding partner, said in a statement that “clients don’t engage us to simply to communicate, they come to us looking for solutions to knotty and high stakes problems.”

They value the firm’s capacity to “recommend ‘unexpected solutions,’” which is the new tag line of the revamped firm.

CLS used branding firm Siegel + Gale and PA research firms Mellman Group and Public Opinion Strategies for the new brand.

They conducted dozens of interviews with CLSS staffers, former employees, lawyers and lobbyists for input.

The firm recorded a robust 2013, which was highlighted for work on the $765M NFL settlement on concussion-related injuries, PA campaign for the integration of drones into U.S. airspace by 2015 and elections in Kenya and Argentina.
