Saffron Road Food, an all-natural halal-certified food marketer, has engaged Cone Communications after a review the serve as AOR.
SRF is owned by American Halal Co. and markets foods certified by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America.
Founder Adnan Durrani said the brand is on track to be one of the highest growth natural brands in the U.S. and wanted to expand its PR as distribution in mainstream retail stores increases. The company said Cone will help boost consumer awareness and highlight its "social mission around ethical consumerism" via media relations and influencer programs.
Cone New York managing director Byron Calamese said: "We believe they have a great story to tell and feel privileged to help them grow the brand."
Cone is part of Omnicom.
Hewar Social Communications, a Washingon-based PR specialist for the Muslim market, has worked with Saffron.
Saffron's products are sold in major outlets like Whole Foods, Publix and Kroger.
