traynerGraeme Trayner, a partner for Brunswick Group in London, has decamped for New York to open an office of Washington-based polling and consulting firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner.

Trayner, who started his career as a GQR intern, joined Brunswick in 2006 to build a research team for the global PR firm. He was previously research director at Opinion Leader Research and an advisor to Britain's Labour Party.

GQR, the firm of Clinton pollster Stan Greenberg and Democratic consultants Al Quinlan and Jeremy Rosner, is setting up a Big Apple operation as the firm is fresh off polling and consulting work on the successful campaign of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio. It is the fourth outpost for GQR, adding to London, D.C. and Buenos Aires.

Trayner made the move on March 1 and will lead the firm's corporate practice, as well. Rosner, EVP and principal at GQR, noted companies are now being assessed "in the same and unrelenting way as political candidates," so the firm sees a need to adapt political tactics for the corporate sector.
