chris deriAgency vet Chris Deri has left the president slot at WCG after a year and landed at Teneo Strategy, the New York communications firm.

Deri, who takes a managing director role at Teneo, led Burson-Marsteller's China operation and spent 10 years at Edelman, building its global CSR and sustainability practice.

He had been based in New York for San Francisco-headquartered WCG, part of W20.

Teneo Strategy is a unit of Teneo Holdings, led by FTI Consulting and Financial Dynamics alum Declan Kelly and former aide to President Clinton, Doug Band. Former Burson-Marsteller COO Richard Powell is president.
