Drew McCaskill, who was senior VP at Weber Shandwick, has taken the senior VP-corporate communications post at Nielsen, the information management and measurement giant.
The 15-year veteran reports to chief communications officer Laura Nelson.
He'll be based in the New York City outpost of the Netherlands-based company.
At the Interpublic unit, McCaskill helped launch Open Solutions and guided it through its $1B acquisition by Fiserv. He handled other clients such as mFoundry and Alogen.
Earlier, he was senior VP at William Mills Agency (LexisNexis, Xerox Mortgage, TransUnion and VISA Debit accounts), marketing/promotion assistant at Turner Broadcasting and national marketing/promotion coordinator at Coca-Cola.
Nielsen in January hired Edelman's Katie Burke and added Karen Kornbluh in Washington in PR roles under new CEO Mitch Barnes. Nelson got the top communications post in March.
