Jennifer Lowney, partner at financial firm Brunswick Group, is moving to Citigroup's corporate communications shop next month.
She'll do corporate PA work and take the role of spokesperson for the $40B revenues New York-based institution.
Citi CEO Michael Corbat reported $181M in 2Q net, down from $4.2B in 2013's period. That performance was negatively impacted by a $3.8B charge.
Lowney joined Brunswick in '04 and has worked on mergers/acquisitions, crisis/litigation and IPOs.
She handled Roche's acquisition of Genentech, Owens Corning's asbestos-related Chapter 11 ensuing New York Stock Exchange re-listing and Pfizer's Wyeth and King Pharmaceuticals deals.
Prior to Brunswick, Lowney did a five-year stint at Hill & Knowlton.
