UNESCO is seeking English-language communications support for its presence at EXPO 2015, the 184-day world's fair focused on food and nutrition that is slated to kick off in Milan in May 2015.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has floated an RFP for an agency to produce a concept note covering a communications strategy for the event, as well as content based on texts, materials and other event4 information. All of the work must be carried out in English.
The expo, last held in 2012 in Korea, carries the theme "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" and will tackle nutrition and natural resources issues around the globe. Twenty million people are expected to attend.
Milan won the hosting duties in a 2008 competition against Smirne, Turkey.
Firms interested in submitting proposals for the UNESCO assignment can receive the RFP from Matteo Rosati (m.rosati [at] unesco [dot] org) in UNESCO's Venice office. Deadline is Sept. 4.
