Alex Deane, head of public affairs for Weber Shandwick and a former aide to now-Prime Minister David Cameron, is moving to FTI Consulting's strategic communications operation as managing director in London.
Deane, a prominent City of London figure and pundit who exits Weber after three years, is charged with growing FTI's PA operation.
He was chief of staff to Cameron when the Conservative Party PM was Secretary of State for Education and Skills in the mid-2000s and later moved to Bell Pottinger as a director.
