Silvia Davi, a corporate PR vetran of Marsh & McLennan and Broadcast Music Inc., has moved to the Food Bank for New York City as chief marketing and communications officer.
Davi takes the reins of external affairs, including PR, branding, advertising, social media and government affairs, among other areas for the large hunger relief organization, which provides 400K meals per day and staffs more than 100 full-time workers.
She was recently head of strategic communications for Broadcast Music Inc., the music rights manager that administers royalties to artists, after heading corporate comms. for Marsh & McLennan Cos. Earlier posts included NASDAQ OMX, Edelman and Ogilvy PR.
She reports directly to president and CEO Margarette Purvis.
