The American people are turning up the heat on our reluctant commander-in-chief into escalating the war against the Islamic State terror organization.

obamaA new ABC poll found a whopping 65 percent of the US wants to expand the bombing campaign from ISIS targets in Iraq to its base of operations in Syria.

The same poll gives Putin-type approval numbers -- 91 percent -- of Americans who say ISIS is a threat to vital interests of the US. The poll results scream "man up" to our way-too-cautious leader.

What Americans don't want in Obama's big speech tomorrow is more of what he said on Sunday on "Meet the Press," which went like this:

"What I want people to understand is that over the course of months, we are going to be able to not just blunt the momentum [of the militants]. We are going to systematically degrade their capabilities; we are going to shrink the territory that they control; and ultimately, we're going to defeat them."

Obama needs to summon his inner Dubya. 43 would simply say. "We're gonna git 'em." At this stage of the game, that's all that we need to know.

The legal professor-in-chief-should tear off his academic robes tomorrow. Go git 'em, Barry.

The opportunity to rally Americans is staring you in the face. Don't blink!
