Renovo Motors, the Silicon Valley vehicle maker that is marketing a $529K electric sports car, has brought in Driven PR after a successful launch.

renovoRenovo, with Driven's help, debuted the Renovo Coupe in August at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance to a bevy of media attention -- USA Today called it a "sexy electric supercar" -- from national and global outlets.

The Coupe, developed over four years, claims a 30-minute "quick charge" and zero to 60 speed in 3.4 seconds.

Mike Caudill, president of Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Driven PR, said it is "truly humbling" to get the assignment. Just from Pebble Beach alone, we received an unbelievable amount of positive responses from the industry, consumers and the press," he said, adding that Renovo will turn the electric vehicle industry "upside down."

Caudill did Hill+Knowlton and Burson-Marsteller stints before setting up Driven in 2003.

In a statement, Renovo CEO Christopher Heiser said Driven's launch work and resulting coverage exceeded expectations. "Our market is incredibly complex and constantly changing -- and we feel very confident that DRIVEN will help us continue to keep our story and our brand front and center for years to come.”

Driven handles automotive, tech, healthcare and lifestyle clients, among other sectors, with a roster including Sprint, the Orange County International Auto Show, Revware and BMW.
