liu zhenyaBrunswick Group is supporting the $300B State Grid Corporation of China's presence at the UN Climate Summit this week in New York as the world's largest state-owned power company seeks to position itself as a leader against climate change.

Brunswick staff in China and Washington are advising the the No. 7 company on the Fortune 500 list and handling PR.

SGCC chairman Liu Zhenya delivered a keynote at the event on Sept. 23, highlighting the company's "smart grid" technology which incorporates ultra high voltage transmission lines and renewable energy.

"The key for addressing these challenges is to push forward large-scale utilization of clean energy and electricity," he said.

Liu also gave a speech in Washington last month proposing a "Global Energy Internet" capable of sharing renewable energy.
