marisa quinnBrown University has kicked off a search for a VP of public affairs and university relations as current VP Marisa Quinn is slated to move into a new role at the Ivy League institution's Watson Institute for International Studies.

Quinn took up the VP role as the school's principal spokeswoman and head of communications in 2008 after nearly a decade at the university. She will moved to the Watson Institute in January as director of communications and outreach as the institution is merged with Born's Taubman Center of Public Policy and American Institutions.

Brown president Christina Paxson told the Brown Daily Herald that a search for a new VP of PA will "begin immediately," adding the school has not decided whether to hire an outside consultant.
