UK's Liberty Communications has named Scott Beaver to lead the new San Francisco outpost of the digital communications/integrated technology shop.
He was at Bateman Group in charge of business development and PR for early-to-late stage tech outfits such as WeChat (a Tencent operation), Braintree (acquired by eBay) and Xamarin.
Earlier, Beaver did a five-year stint at financial specialist Sard Verbinnen, doing crisis and IR work for Alibaba Group, Facebook, SurveyMonkey and Elevation Partners.
Dee Gibbs, Liberty CEO, said Beaver "brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and strategic thinking which will be of great benefit to our client base in the US market.”
Liberty has US offices in New York and San Jose.
Laura Anderson, who rose to VP/GM of global communications and events in a nearly 20 year stint at Intel, will take on the Americas technology chair at Burson following the completion of the BCW and H+K merger on July 1.
