Rudy Giuliani came out of the woodwork the other day to announce to the world that President Obama doesn't love America. That nonsensical statement had to be about his desperate bid for political relevancy.

giulianiSince the cooling of the rubble of the World Trade Center, Rudy has been spiraling downhill. Some observers even question why New York's former mayor was lionized for his 9/11performance. Jeffrey Toobin wrote today in the New Yorker: "His reputation was briefly and unduly inflated after the September 11, 2001, attacks, but there are worse sins than receiving good press. (What did Giuliani, who had only a few months left in office, actually do during that grim time to deserve all the hosannas? It remains a mystery.)"

Giuliani took on the chief love-decider/matchmaker role during a money pitch for Wisconsin Governor Scott at the swank "21 Club" in Midtown Manhattan before an audience of Wall Street and hedge fund swells.

He likened himself and the high-roller audience to the best of what America stands for. Hence: Obama doesn't like love America. In Giuliani's words: "I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe the President loves America. He doesn’t love you. And he doesn't love me. He wasn't brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up, through love of this country."

Giuliani believes people who criticize America can't possibly love it. Robot-like blind allegiance to flag and country is how people love America, according to Rudy's thinking.

America though is not about conformity to the rules. It's about questioning and working to make the country better for all. It's about freedom. True patriots—like our rebel forefathers—did not accept the status quo. An opinionated country with input from all walks of live and ethnic/racial/religious backgrounds is my ideal vision of America.

America is much more than Rudy and the guys at 21. With his ridiculous mutterings, Rudy got his more recent 15 minutes of fame. He emerged as the Mayor of CrazyTown.

The woodwork beckons, Rudy.
