Foursquare, the five-year-old location sharing and business discovery site, is looking for a PR director.

The Soho-based operation wants a "world class PR & communications professional that’s passionate about our product and full of ideas on how to communicate its value proposition to the world."

The successful applicant will be a creative thinker who will "develop strategy and messaging around product releases, partnerships, and other major announcements, as well as develop and seed content stories for real impact around our brand and partnerships," according to the job specs.

Foursquare says more than 55m people check in each day. About two million businesses have claimed their locations to connect with their customers.

Chief revenue officer Steven Rosenblatt told VentureBeat's 2015 Mobile Summit today that Foursquare has chalked up triple-digit revenue growth in each of the last three years.

Union Square Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Microsoft, Silver Lake Waterman, Spark Capital and DFJ Growth are among Foursquare's financial backers.
