Jorge Ortega, one-time head of Burson-Marsteller Mexico and Latin America regional chair, has returned to the WPP operation as executive VP & Miami manager director.
The former president of The Jeffrey Group and founder of Newlink America, the Hispanic marketing group the he founded in 2010, takes command of B-M's gateway to Latin America and home of Burson Latino, the U.S. Hispanic communications unit.
Michael Law, B-M US chief, said Ortega will provide invaluable expertise across practice groups and his expertise will be "essential as the 2016 U.S. presidential election draws near.”
The Sunshine State will be a key battlefield in the national election and race to succeed Marco Rubio as Senator.
Ortega replaces Claudia Gioia.
