"Hello, Twitter! It's Barack. Really! Six years in, they're finally giving me my own account," said President Obama today in his inaugural tweet.

He followed up with a tweet from Camden, NJ, where he visited to highlight community policing policies.

obama, bidenThe president has amassed 930K "followers," and follows 65 Twitter accounts. The bulk of those followed include members of his Cabinet and Administration.

The president follows former Presidents George Bush I and Bill Clinton. George W. Bush has not taken the Twitter plunge.

VP Joe Biden, who has been tweeting since June 2011, greeted his boss with the following: "Hey ‪@POTUS – Welcome to Twitter. See you around the neighborhood. –vp."

Biden also posted an image of himself sitting outdoors and guffawing with the President. True to character, Uncle Joe is doing most of the guffawing. The VP has sent 2,878 tweets since signing up in June 2011. He has 508K followers.

Hillary Clinton, the leading Democratic presidential contender got the cold shoulder from Obama. Since joining in June 2013, she's tweeted 391 times.

Elizabeth Warren, Hillary's most formidable Democratic opponent, doesn't make Obama's Twitter's cut. The Massachusetts Senator has 205K fans since joining Twitter in June 2012.

Sports-loving Barry follows Chicago's home town White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears and Bulls. The loyal White Sox fan stiffs his team's baseball rival Cubs. That's a sign of a true White Sox fan.

Surprisingly, the President does not follow any media outlets, which says a lot of his opinion of the Fourth Estate.
