Cision will divest the UK operations and assets of both Cision and Vocus to Access Intelligence, the London-based enterprise software purveyor.

cisionCision, under pressure from UK regulators over its acquisition of British competitor Gorkana Group, said the UK Competition and Markets Authority has approved its divestment plans, adding it will resume integrating Gorkana and operate in the UK under the Gorkana mantle.

Access Intelligence will fold the Vocus and Cision operations into its Vuelio media relations management platform. The company also offers software for procurement, crisis and incident management, and training.

Cision is owned by the Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR.

UK regulators said their acceptance of the divestiture means it will not refer the matter for an in-depth investigation. "The CMA is satisfied that the undertakings will resolve the competition concerns identified and that Access Intelligence plc as the agreed purchaser will operate the Cision and Vocus businesses in competition with GTCR’s retained [Gorkana] business," the regulator said in a statement.
