Edmond Lococo, a 15-year Bloomberg veteran, has joined financial firm ICR as senior VP in its Beijing outpost.
In two postings for Bloomberg in Beijing, Lococo covered the technology beats, tracking cyber-security, intellectual property, hardware/software development, and social media matters.
For Bloomberg, he also reported on defense issues during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Lococo began a journalism career in Hong Kong, working for the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong Standard and Bridge wire service.
Jeremy Peruski, co-head of ICR Asia, said Lococo understands the communications needs of local companies due to his 14 years of experience living there.
With $50.7M in 2014 fees, ICR is No. 8 in O'Dwyer's rankings.
