The four heads of PR of law firms employing a total of 3,586 lawyers, who were scheduled to speak at a PRSA/NY panel Nov. 5 that had the title, “Lawyers in the Limelight?” have answered the question by canceling the meeting.

The chapter, via its association management firm, The Charles Group, informed members this a.m. that “The event has been postponed and a new date has not been determined.”

A phone call and email has been sent to Christopher Rieck, director of media relations, McDermott Will & Emery, who was to have been the moderator of the program. MWE, based at 340 Madison ave., where the meeting was to take place, employs 1,100 lawyers.

Other panelists were to have been Arielle Lapiano of Paul Hastings (986 lawyers); Joshua Peck, Duane Morris (700 lawyers), and Susan Peters, Davis Polk (800 lawyers).

The impact of lawyers on corporate PR was examined in a blog on this website Oct. 28.
