Leesa Eichberger has been named head of brand and sponsorships at Farmers Insurance. She begins her new role at the insurance giant January 4.

Eichberger was North American chief marketing officer for Jenny Craig International, where she was cited as being responsible for updating the weight management company’s marketing efforts. Prior to that, Eichberger served as marketing VP for Vonage, and previously held positions at Ogilvy & Mather and Poppe Tyson.

As head of brand and sponsorships, Eichberger will work alongside Farmers’ marketing leadership team, and will be responsible for the strategic development of the insurer’s brand and its ongoing sponsorship investments.

"Leesa brings a breadth of marketing knowledge, agency management and brand building experience to the role," said Farmers Insurance chief marketing said Mike Linton in a statement.

Currently the third-largest personal insurer in the U.S., Farmers’ insurer group serves more than 10 million households and 19 million individual policies related to automobiles, homes and small businesses. The Los Angeles insurer is home to more than 50,000 agents and 22,000 employees.
