crystal palaceRubenstein Communications is handling M&A communications for US investors Josh Harris and David Blitzer as they inked a deal to take control of the Premier League's Crystal Palace soccer franchise with current chairman Steve Parish.

Harris and Blitzer own the NHL's New Jersey Devils and NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. The investors lead a team in a limited partnership that has agreed to fund a new stadium for the club.

Rubenstein EVP Alice McGillion speaks for the Americans.

London's PHA Media reps Crystal Palace on the PR front. In a joint statement, the club said the deal "ensures that, while overseas investors are joining us, the heart and soul of the club remains in south London."

Palace was a founding member of the world-renowned Premier League in 1992 but struggled through financial woes and administration, most recently in 2010 when it forced to sell key players. Parish and a small group of fan-investors took control of the then-105-year-old team that year before it was liquidated.

The club said the deal led by American investors offers it the best opportunity to "build on the enormous progress made over the last five years, during which time it has come out of administration and established itself as a thriving, financially secure member of the Premier League."
