Max Borges AgencyMiami-based consumer tech agency Max Borges Agency has opened an office in New York, in a bid to expand the agency’s geographical footprint amid continuous growth.

Founder and CEO Max Borges told O'Dwyer's that the agency’s new midtown Manhattan location provides added value for existing clients and will also establish a foundation for serving prospective clients.

“The agency has been experiencing record double-digit growth throughout the years, and we couldn’t be happier to accelerate this climb by expanding our footprint in Manhattan," Borges said. "With this move and additions to our leadership team, we will expand benefits to our existing clients and build new relationships with prospective clients in the area, all while living in the world's leading media market."

The new office marks the agency's third. Max Borges in 2013 opened a San Francisco location, which has since witnessed growth of more than 300 percent, according to the agency in a statement.

The agency has now hired two high-profile communications executives to spearhead the development of its new outpost, both of whom will report to Borges and serve as part of the agency’s national leadership team.

Frank Mantero has been named senior vice president of account services, and will be responsible for overseeing the agency’s account teams as well as shaping its infrastructure and client offerings.

Mantero joins Max Borges from medical glove manufacturer Ansell Healthcare, where he was senior VP of corporate communications and marketing. Prior to that, Mantero was a director of corporate citizenship at GE and a communications director at CIGNA Healthcare.

Peter DiBart has been named senior vice president and creative director, and is now charged with guiding the agency’s growth by expanding upon business development efforts and its suite of creative solutions.

DiBart joins Max Borges from global communications agency Text 100, where he was VP and creative director, North America. Prior to that he was a senior VP and digital group creative director at Edelman, and also served as a VP and creative director at Havas under its former Euro RSCG monicker.

The new executives will be joined by director Craig Gottlieb and account supervisor Kristen Mondshein, the latter of whom comes to Max Borges’ New York office from its Miami headquarters.

Max Borges, which was founded in 2002, revealed 23 percent growth in 2014 to account for $9.1 million in net fees, and in 2015 posted another 18 percent uptick to total $10.7 million in net fees, according to O'Dwyer's rankings of PR firms.
