Although the Q4 and 2015 numbers were solid, CEO Maurice Levy called 2016 a "year of transition" for the conglomerate as it continues to reorganize, integrate its Sapient acquisition, and shed the stigma of its failed combination with Omnicom.

Levy acknowledged fourth quarter revenues are difficult to predict and called the results "better than expected."

North American organic growth hit 6.3% in Q4, where digital rose 8.8%.

"Nevertheless, and despite the fact that these numbers are better than anticipated, we consider that we can do much better, and we will do, obviously," said Levy, who added that the company should be at "full speed" by from mid-2017 to 2018.
