Multinational public affairs and government communications consultancy Speyside Corporate Relations has been hired by travel industry IT provider Amadeus to support the company in five markets across the Latin America region.
The account win follows a region-wide review and competitive bidding process.
Madrid-headquartered Amadeus provides software systems and tech solutions — search, pricing, booking and ticketing services — for travel and tourism companies worldwide. Customers include airlines, hotels, tour operators, car rental companies and travel agencies.
Speyside will serve as Amadeus’ communications agency in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay, providing PR support and regional on-the-ground teams to drive media outreach and increase Amadeus’ visibility in those markets.
Speyside, which was founded in 2009, maintains seven offices in South and Central America. The PR and government affairs consultancy is headquartered in São Paulo.
Laura Anderson, who rose to VP/GM of global communications and events in a nearly 20 year stint at Intel, will take on the Americas technology chair at Burson following the completion of the BCW and H+K merger on July 1.
