O’Mara launched trade publication Home Furnishings Business in 2005, where she served as editor-in-chief and also managed that magazine’s social media presence. That publication in 2013 was acquired by Atlanta, GA-based company Impact Consulting Services. Prior to that, she was an editor at Progressive Business Media property Furniture Today, and was also editor-in-chief of publication Kids Today. She was previously a staff writer for the Greensboro, NC-based daily newspaper News & Record, and Elkin, NC-based The Tribune.
As content manager, O’Mara will work primarily with Steinreich’s home furnishings clients. She joins the Fort Lee, NJ-based firm’s content and strategic development team, which is comprised of former journalists.
Steinreich Communications president and CEO Stan Steinreich said “it is a major coup for us to get someone of her caliber and experience.”
