Los Angeles-based travel and hospitality firm Wagstaff Worldwide has appointed Melendy Britt executive director of the agency's Los Angeles headquarters.

Melendy BrittBritt joins Wagstaff from Edelman, where she held the title of executive vice president and led the consumer practice at the PR giant’s Los Angeles outpost. Prior to that, she was director of M&C Saatchi PR Spain and was responsible for launching that agency’s Madrid office. She served as creative director, brand experience for Interpublic PR powerhouse Weber Shandwick Spain, and for nearly 18 years was stationed at WPP unit Ogilvy Public Relations Spain, where she was vice president of that agency’s consumer division and served as a local liaison for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Europe.

Britt will now be responsible for expanding Wagstaff's portfolio of travel and tourism clients, and will work with the agency’s digital marketing team to develop integrated campaigns that drive agency growth.

In a statement, Wagstaff president and founder Mary Wagstaff said Britt's “familiarity with integrated campaigns for hospitality and travel clients is sure to bolster our existing client services.”

Wagstaff, which was founded in 1999, maintains additional offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Aspen, CO.
