MDC Partners has acquired Sweden's Forsman & Bodenfors, the creative agency that won the top PR prize at the Cannes Lions competition this month.

The 300-staffer agency, which posts around $40M in revenues, will align with MDC's Crispin Porter + Bogusky under MDC.

F&B won the Grand Prix PR Lion at Cannes for "The Organic Effect," a campaign of supermarket client Coop with the Swedish Environmental Research Institute about switching to organic food.

The agency, led by CEO Erik Sollenberg, was behind a viral spot for Volvo Trucks featuring martial arts expert and actor Jean-Claude Van Damme.
