katie perriorKatie Perrior, co-founder and director of London's iNHouse Communications, has been named director of communications for new UK Prime Minister Theresa May.

Perrior led the PR push for Boris Johnson's successful 2008 mayoral bid in London and helped May with PR in the leadership race that landed her the PM job in recent days.

Earlier, Perrior spent a decade as an advisor to the country's Conservative party. She started out in PR in the TV news sector.

Johnson's surpise victory in 2008 was a big win for Perrior on the PR front, and May surprised pundits this week when she named Johnson foreign secretary of the UK.

iNHouse clients include Santander, Diageo and the Jamie Oliver Foundation.

May tapped Lizzie Loudon, a veteran of the Vote Leave campaign that supported exiting the European Union, as press secretary.
