Keep cellphones away from body and especially the head; no phones in pants pockets, no wireless laptops, no iPads at school, are among do’s and don’ts being publicized by Cindy Sage, Ph.D., and Dr. Martha Herbert.

Sage, who has an environmental sciences firm in Santa Barbara, and Herbert, a Harvard professor and specialist in pediatric autism and neurology at Mass. General Hospital, are up in arms against what has been called a “catastrophic” increase in autism among children.

They note that the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Condition continues to rise, now affecting up to one in 50 children in the US, and averaging one per cent globally, according to the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report.

“More American children will be diagnosed with ASCs this year than with AIDS, diabetes, and cancer combined,” they say. “ASCs cost the U.S. $137 billion a year and, having become a huge healthcare burden and global threat, have been categorized by the CDC as a national public health crisis.”

Sage and Herbert have created a graphic that summarizes the warnings about wireless that the O’Dwyer website has forwarded to Westhampton Beach Mayor Maria Moore and her husband, Tom Moore, who is president of the Westhampton Library, and to the Westhampton Beach Fire Dept., whose banner is “Serve and Protect.”

Removal of Routers from Public Facilities Is Urged

We urge Maria Moore to post the warnings in Village Hall and urge the local schools to do so and urge Tom Moore to immediately remove or unplug the Wi-Fi routers in the ceilings of the library which are a palpable threat to the health of staff. Their new union should demand this,

More than 300,000 firefighters who belong to the International Assn. of Firefighters have demanded that cell towers not be placed on firehouses because they emit dangerous pulsed radiation. If pulsed radiation is bad for fighters it is also bad for the publics that they serve. Such radiation is a far bigger health threat than fire or smoke, especially damaging to those who work 7-8 hours a day in places bathed in radiation, children and seniors.
