Free eye screening camps were set up in three villages followed by a two-day field surgery clinic.
The Blumenfeld firm, headed by Jeff Blumenfeld, promoted the expedition and filed daily updates that were posted on DooleyIntermed.org and the outdoor website TheActiveTimes.com.
Marketing support was provided to “Gift of Sight” sponsors Sherpa Adventure Gear, De Lorme satellite communications, and LOKSAK, producers of waterproof storage bags.
