Sony Pictures Entertainment has cast Rubenstein’s Tahra Grant as VP of corporate communications.
Grant reports to chief communications officer Robert Lawson, another Rubenstein alum who joined Sony last June as the company rebuilt its reputation following a data hack that shook the entertainment industry.
Grant, a film publicist with corporate communications experience, has spent the last eight years at Rubenstein Communications in New York, recently as a VP. She earlier worked PR for Jive Records and handled marketing for ESPN 980 Radio in the Washington, D.C., area.
She is relocating to Los Angeles for Sony.
Lawson said he worked with Grant for years and called her an “excellent communications executive” who will help roll out the studio’s fall slate of films.
