Pamela Browner White, senior VP of corporate communications and strategic development for the Hispanic community organizing group Esperanza, has shifted to the American Board of Internal Medicine as senior VP of communications for the independent evaluation organization.
Browner is based in Philadelphia for ABIM and oversees the ABIM Foundation's communications, as well.
She is former VP of corporate affairs for Cancer Treatment Centers of America and a senior VP of corporate affairs for Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania. She also held senior PR posts with Philadelphia Newspapers and Browning-Ferris Industries.
For ABIM, she will look to improve outreach to doctors and other stakeholders, increase transparency, and pitch board certification and medical professionalism.
The 80-year-old non-profit ABIM certifies doctors in internal medicine and 20 subspecialties.
