JMPR Public Relations is now agency of record for EVgo which runs the nation's largest network of more than 750 charging stations in 66 markets for electric vehicle drivers.

EVgo charging stationThe 50-kilowatt fast-charging stations can fully recharge most EVs in about a half hour.

Charging plans include pay-as-you-go, low-cost membership and unlimited charging for customers of partner automakers such as Nissan, BMW, and Ford. EVgo partnered with Nissan for their "No Charge to Charge" program for buyers and leaseholders of the Nissan Leaf EV.

Home and commercial charging set-up to car dealers, office buildings and even utility providers is also offered.

EVgo split from utility company NRG earlier this year and was acquired by Vision Ridge Partners. Some funding is still provided by NRG.

“Electric vehicle charging is critical to EV adoption and is set to explode over the coming years," Terry O'Day, VP, product strategy and market development for EVgo said.

JMPR, based in Los Angeles, has worked with accounts in the transportation and technology industries for over 40 years. Current clients include 3M Automotive, Infiniti, Mercedes-Benz Vans, Prestone and Bugatti Automobiles.
