Entertainment veteran Shirley Richter Hughes has joined global marketing agency FRUKT as managing director FRUKT US, coming over from Branded Entertainment Network where she led global client engagement.

Hughes' experience includes executing global entertainment marketing strategies and initiatives for numerous Fortune 100 brands such as GM, Heineken and Microsoft.

This is part of a new U.S. senior leadership team for FRUKT which includes Hap Deneen, promoted from within to senior VP, FRUKT US, and the addition of music industry veteran Jesus Gonzalez as VP, music partnerships.

“We are thrilled to have our U.S. leadership team in place. Their collective experience, coupled with the brilliant creative and consumer experiences generated by our team, will be the standard for how brands approach entertainment partnerships,” said FRUKT Global’s managing director Dom Hodge.

Deneen, a five-year veteran at FRUKT, will lead their New York office. He has worked in the past with AB InBev, Marriott, Bank of America, Mastercard, Royal Caribbean and Sprint. Gonzalez most recently was director of brand partnerships for Universal Music Latin Entertainment.

FRUKT, headquartered in London, is part of Interpublic Group’s Octagon Sports and Entertainment Network.
