Ruben SigalaRuben Sigala

Casino giant Caesars Entertainment Corporation has named Ruben Sigala EVP and chief marketing officer.

The appointment, which follows an internal and external search, is effective immediately.

Sigala has served as interim CMO at the Paradise, NV’s gaming corporation since May, and was previously CEC’s chief analytics officer and senior VP. He initially joined the publicly traded gaming company in 2005, where he held the VP of business strategy and revenue management title under the now-defunct Harrah’s Entertainment banner. He was also formerly a special projects manager at Princess Cruises and a consultant at Ernst & Young’s National Cash Management Practice.

Caesars Entertainment Corporation is the fourth-largest gaming company in the world. The publicly traded gaming company, which faced massive financial struggles in 2015 — including an $18 billion restructuring of its largest operating unit — currently operates 50 casinos in 13 U.S. states and five countries along with its subsidiaries.

CEC at the beginning of the year hired former Hertz corporate affairs and government relations head Rich Broome as executive VP of public affairs and communications in a bid to revamp communications efforts across the company.
