Barton SwaimThe Weekly Standard has brought on Barton Swaim as opinion editor and Adam Keiper as books & arts editor.
Swaim, who worked from 2007 to 2010 for then-South Carolina governor Mark Sanford, is also a columnist for the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal. He will oversee the writing and production of editorials, both in print and online.

Adam KeiperKeiper has been the editor of The New Atlantis: A Journal of Technology and Society for over a decade. He succeeds Philip Terzian, who after 12 years as literary editor is moving to full-time writing at the magazine as a senior editor.
