StrategyHack, which is billed as the first-ever "hackathon’" for PR people, is slated for August 3 at Grind Space on Broadway, where tech start-ups will get growth advice from PR/marketing pros.
The event kicks off at 10 a.m. when teams will be matched to "hack" a PR strategy during the course of the day that's expected to run about 10 hours.
Organizer Peter Crysdale has drawn up rules and procedures similar to what exists in technology hackathons.
Semi-finalists will make the final pitch beginning at 6 p.m. before a panel of judges who will award prizes to the best strategy. All teams will leave with a custom-designed PR game plan
Pizza, coffee and sweets will fuel the creative action with an after-event party to follow. The $10 charge (with $1.24 fee) includes a free drink at the party.
