Afghanistan hired Sonoran Policy Group, which boasts of ties with President Trump, to a $120K three-month contract.

The President’s national security team is currently reviewing US policy in Afghanistan.

SPG is to engage with the executive and legislative branches of the US government, provide defense consulting services, give strategic advice regarding extremism/terrorism and promote democracy and direct investments, according to its contract with Afghanistan.

The Washington-based lobbying firm was until April the professional home of Stuart Jolly, who was political director of the Trump campaign. Other staffers are Robin Townley, one-time aide to former national security advisor Michael Flynn, and Jacob Daniels, campaign’s chief of staff for Michigan.

SPG, in March, inked Saudi Arabia to a $5.4M contract and signed a $1.2M pact with Kenya last month.
