MWWPR has been enlisted by the borough of Ringwood, NJ, to handle communications relating to the Ford Superfund site located there. The 500-acre site contains surface landfills and mine pits used by the Ford Motor Company to dump paint sludge and other industrial waste in the 1960s and 70s. MWWPR’s goal, according to agency exec vp William Murray, is to combat what he calls a “high level of confusion” surrounding plans for the area. MWWPR will be paid a $25, 000 retainer, according to an invoice obtained by the non-profit group Ramapough Conservatory.
