Karv Communications is handling southern California stakeholder outreach in support of China-state owned COSCO Shipping Holdings’ $6.3B acquisition of Hong Kong Orient Overseas.

That corporate hook-up would create the second biggest mover of imports into the US.

The Harbour Group, which has a $70K monthly retainer for the Cosco work and reports to Paul Hastings LLP, hired Karv as its subcontractor.

Karv is in line for a $20K monthly retainer, payable once THG receives its free.

Andrew Frank is founder/president of Karv. He’s been involved in crisis/issues management, PA financial and regulatory matters for more than 25 years, which included a 15-year run at Strategy XXI Partners and Kreab Gavin Anderson.

Frank also served in the Clinton Adminstration as managing director of the US Information Agency’s New York Foreign Press Center and senior advisor for communications.
