Crosby Marketing Communications named Anya Karavanov senior VP, director of research and insights. Prior to joining Crosby, Karavanov was principal of her own firm, l Change. She also served on the faculty of American University’s School of Communication. Karavanov will lead the firm’s research efforts and support the development of insight-driven campaigns to better engage consumer and professional audiences. “She will help our teams gain a deeper understanding of audiences and their behaviors, and develop campaigns fueled by strong insights and ideas to drive better results,” said Crosby CEO Raymond Crosby.

Video influencer marketing firm D S Simon Media promoted Eric Wright to executive VP and Sarah Katz to senior VP. Wright, who has been with the firm for 18 years, will lead revenue generation, expand the company’s influencer marketing offerings and spearhead marketing campaigns. A member of the firm’s client services team for nearly 10 years, Katz will develop and manage influencer marketing campaigns in consumer, financial services, health and wellness and other categories. Both will play key roles in the firm’s development of new service offerings for agencies, organizations and non-profits as well as serve on the internal leadership committee.

CoinDesk, Inc., a digital media, events and information services company, brought on Marc Hochstein as managing editor. Hochstein comes to CoinDesk after spending 17 years at American Banker, where he had been editor-in-chief since 2014. In his new role he will work with editorial content, while also helping to lead the startup's next phase of expansion. "With Marc's expansive industry expertise, CoinDesk is poised to enter a new phase of growth," editor-in-chief Pete Rizzo said. CoinDesk has also added PaymentsSource journalist Bailey Reutzel and CNBC and Roubini analyst Ash Bennington to its New York-based editorial team.

A 2015 graduate of Penn State, Stephen was a public relations associate at Caring Grace Homecare Agency before coming to Kimball. In his new role, he supports Kimball Communications’ account management team in conducting media relations, drafting press releases, developing social media content and gathering critical information from clients to support the team’s public relations services.
