Finn Partners brought on Mike DeVilling as senior partner. For more than nine years, DeVilling ran his own boutique agency in metro Detroit, providing clients in the automotive, nonprofit, real estate and personal finance sectors with media relations, social media and content marketing services. Previously, he was at John Bailey & Assocs., rising to executive VP in 2006. At Finn, DeVilling is tasked with leading new business development, client service and counsel, and will provide content, media relations and issues management services.

Version 2.0 Communications appointed Melissa Mahoney and Katelyn Holbrook to senior VPs. Mahoney, who consulted for the 10-year-old shop for more than a year, was previously VP-corporate communications for tech startup SimpliVity (a Version 2.0 client), where she oversaw worldwide media and analyst relations, brand management, and social media programs. Holbrook leads the firm’s content practice.

PR Talent hired Kathleen DesRosiers to build its presence in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region and the Upper Midwest as well as increasing its APAC capability. DesRosiers, who began her PR career at FleishmanHillard, held positions at Burson-Marsteller, Repovich Reynolds Group and Hoffman Agency before launching her own recruiting firm in Beijing in 2013. “I look forward to adding my local market knowledge in Minneapolis-St. Paul, as well as providing insights into the complex and high growth Asia-Pacific market,” said DesRosiers.

BAM Communications tapped Katie Pierini as senior VP and Lauren Grassetti as VP at its San Diego headquarters. Pierini will oversee BAM’s growth strategy and share responsibility for expanding the client base. Grassetti will lead the account servicing team, managing its recruitment and training while handling key accounts. Pierini and Grassetti previously worked for global communications agency LEWIS. BAM also launched Insights, its new suite of analytics reporting capabilities that demonstrate business impact of earned media coverage.
