Louisiana kicked off a review today of its $6.5M tourism PR, marketing and advertising accounts with an RFP process open through mid-November.
The state's Office of Tourism, based in Baton Rouge, said it will hire a single agency or multiple firms to handle three components of the account: creative, PR and social/digital. Firms are invited to pitch one or multiple components.

The tourism entity expects to award a one-year contract starting July 1, 2014 with two year-long extensions possible.
The Pelican State currently uses the "Pick your passion" tagline and the louisianatravel.com website.
