O'Dwyer's Job Board

March 14, 2012

A montage put together by a "Conan" producer of TV news stations using a "canned" VNR report about so-called "email overload" has become an online hit.

The clip cuts from reporter to reporter repeating the same question to queue the VNR produced by CNN Newsource: "Could this be the end of email overload?"

Conan producer Doug Karo told Fortune he heard the phrase and said "it sounded so awkward I knew it was some bad copy and sure enough the more I looked into it, it was."

The VNR was produced for 410 Labs to highlight its Shortmail service which limits emails to 500 characters.
