Peloton Interactive has registered Justin Kintz, senior VP-government relations & public policy, as its first in-house Capitol Hill lobbyist.

He joined the New York-based home exercise equipment company in February after exiting Uber as VP & head of public policy following a seven-year stint.

At Peloton, Kintz handles “Made in America” manufacturing, social justice/equity and health & wellness issues with a focus on COVID-19 recovery.

The company has signed Tai Ginsberg & Associates and Forbes-Tate as its initial lobbying firms.

It hired Jason Tai and Matt Ginsberg’s firm to make introductions to members of Congress, while Jeffrey Forbes and Daniel Tate’s shop works on commerce, tax, trade and health matters.

Peloton, which went public in September 2019, posted a 128 percent rise in Q2 (ended December) revenues to $1.1B. It earned $63.6M compared to a $55.4M year-earlier loss.
