New York sports and lifestyle PR agency Taylor will host a Feb. 7 panel during New York Social Media Week 2011 dubbed "Mobile Meets Social: Seamlessly Converting 'Check-ins' to 'Check-Outs.'"

Christian Alfonsi, executive director of strategic planning at Taylor who will moderate the event, said panelists will discuss how marketers can create campaigns that use technologies like location-based services, m-commerce and mobile couponing "from the conceptual stage all the way to the hands of consumers."

Topics slated include the role of mobile technology in retail, how brands can stay in control, challenges facing retailers, and the big question: Is it worth it?
