Pizza magnate Herman Cain, who has been refusing to answer media questions about the sexual harassment allegations that are swirling about his campaign, has met his PR match.

Lawyer and media bigwig Gloria Allred is now on the scene, representing the fourth woman who is charging Cain with wrongdoing. How many more alleged victims will surface? Allred will certainly smoke them out. Cain’s political base may have been thrilled by his effort to bash the “liberal media” and treat reporters like dirt. Allred is a PR fireball who cannot be extinguished by Cain’s media warnings of “Don’t even go there.”

Allred presided over today’s New York press conference that introduced Sharon Bialek, who claims she was groped by Cain when he was chief lobbyist for the National Restaurant Assn. She got results. The room was packed.

As usual, the Cain campaign attempted once again to run away from the accusations. It released this feeble statement:
"Just as the country finally begins to refocus on our crippling $15T national debt and the unacceptably high unemployment rate, now activist celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred is bringing forth more false accusations against the character of Republican front-runner Herman Cain.
All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false. Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone. Fortunately the American people will now allow Mr. Cain’s bold ‘9-9-9 Plan’, clear foreign policy vision and plans for energy independence to be overshadowed by these bogus attacks.”

Note to Herman: Allred isn’t bringing forth any accusations against you. Bialek is.

Allred is the conduit that assures the accuser gets maximum media exposure for her charges. It’s up to you to set the record straight. America doesn’t want a president who will take cover when the going gets tough.

On a personal note, as Cain’s candidacy implodes, I will miss Herm’s riveting campaign ads.
