New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has scored high marks for leading the Big Apple's comeback in the aftermath of 9/11. In fact, Bloomberg's image (and bankbook) are so good there are rumblings that he may run for President as an independent candidate.

The discrimation suit filed 9/27 in U.S. District Court by female employees at Bloomberg LP may cast a shadow over Mayor Mike's White House run. It contends that pregnant women were given reduced responsibilities, excluded from management meetings and ultimately replaced by junior-level men staffers.

The company says the suit is without merit.

A Bloomberg Presidential run can hardly be helped by allegations of discrimination against women, especially since Hillary Clinton may be the Mayor's leading opponent.

You can bet that Clinton's crackerjack campaign team has filed the discrimination suit in its playbook.
